May 7, 20235/7/2023 This week I started working on my final presentation. I decided to take a different approach to this than what others would do. Yes, my presentation is going to have a few things about my project but I am going to use my presentation as a lesson. I am going to go over how I was unsuccessful in trying to keep up with my room being clean and making sure things were organized. At the start of this project, I did not realize that I would be starting a job and not having the max amount of time that I would have normally had to finish this project. Throughout this project process I have learned that most successful people are actually very messy. How do you have time to organize your entire life and manage your successes. I started my new job and I am working every day during the weekends and 2-3 times during the week. How am I supposed to finish those tasks everyday and make sure I get a good nights sleep? It is very hard to accomplish. I want to teach people in my presentation that it is okay to not always be a neat and organized person. We judge too many people for being messy when we do not know what they were going through. They could be in a slump and unmotivated or they could be busy with other important things and just do not have enough time to complete it. I am not completely finished with my presentation nor do I know what all I am going to do with it. I am trying to figure out something more interactive I could do to make it more interesting for the class. I am thinking about gathering some statistics on cleanliness to successfullness to see if successful people really are messy like everyone says.

April 30th, 20234/30/2023 I I understand I say this basically every week but I know that this was one of the busiest weeks I have had yet. Monday I had work so I was not home until around 9pm. Tuesday I had to help my friend get ready for a banquet. Wednesday I went out with some of my friends to go eat and get icecream. Thursday I spent the night with my friend. Friday I was out with my friends all day. Saturday I had work. And finally today, Sunday I used today as a work day. I got caught up on all of my homework and all of my chores. I was unable to accomplish everything I needed to in the beginning of the week but I ended up finishing it all up near the end.
This upcoming week I have lots to do. I am hoping to finish alot more than I did this week because I have less things to do. I do have cheer tryouts starting up this week and next week so that will be taking up alot of time and I also have prom next weekend and that will be taking up some time as well. I do not think that I have upheld the expectations that I wanted for this project. In all reality I do not think any of us have. We all set this high expectation and realized how busy we actually are and tend to forget to work on our project throughout the week. Even if you have a simple project like mine, it can be very easy to push it off and say you can do it later. Once you get to the time to turn it in at the end of the week you realize you barely made any progress. We all need to understand that we are busy but still need to prioritize school.

April 23th, 20234/23/2023 This week was insanely busy. Monday night I had work so I was, unfortunately, unable to complete my task. Monday night I was asked to prom and I knew I had to find a dress as soon as possible so on Tuesday I went dress shopping and I was not home until late. Wednesday night I went out with my friends and I was out late again. Thursday was a get stuff done day because I was able to go straight home from school. Friday night I also had work and I was not home until after 11 o'clock so I got no tasks finished. Saturday my brother had baseball and I was gone most of the day because of that. Today, Sunday I was gone most of the day because I had work.
This week I definitely did not get done what I wanted done whatsoever. I feel very unaccomplished and have been down on myself because I did not make enough time for me to even clean my room. But my parents told me that is okay because even as an adult you have to prioritize your responsibilities and somethings are just more important than making your bed. The next few weeks on the back end of this project are going to be super hard saying I have tryouts and prom to prepare for! I just have to make sure I prioritize my time and be stress free. The more that I stress about the little things the more that I do not accomplish. I am hoping to get a lot more tasks in this week saying I am hopefully only working on Monday. I need to definitely get my room, bathroom, and closet cleaned again and maybe get some extra projects around the house finished up. I am hoping for a better week next week!

April 16, 20234/16/2023 This week I had a lot going on. I started my new job this week so that took up all of my Monday afternoon and all of my Saturday. I also went to baseball games on Thursday and Today, Sunday. With activities taking up most of my days I was unable to finish everything that I wanted to. I wanted to be able to deep clean my room and bathroom but I just was not quite able to complete that.
At the beginning of this project I was not expecting to start a job but I ended up falling into the perfect position. So from now on in the project I am leaving the days open that I work because there is no way I could possibly finish the daily tasks when I have school then work until 8:30. This week I was still able to finish what was needed to be done but it was not as much as I wanted it to be. I felt very busy this week but now with taking on a job I definitely have to use my time management skills to be able to finish all of my school work and my chores each day. The more I start working I believe I will be able to finish things faster, I just have to get used to my new schedule. I haven’t been able to finish as much school work as I have wanted due to having so much going on during the spring season. This week I made sure that cleaning my closet was on the top of my list because I just got a lot of new clothes and my closet was a disaster! I also had alot of random things just laying around and shoved in my closet. Below is a before and after of cleaning my closet!

April 9th, 20234/9/2023 This week was the week of spring break. Since this week we were not in school I wasn’t at home too much. I did not do too much with the project this week. I normally try to put organizing or a different type of lengthy task on my agenda but this week I took it easy and just put basic things like cleaning my room or doing the laundry.
At the beginning of this project, I thought it was going to be alot more than what it is. As the weeks went on I have had so many better ideas that I could have done. It is so hard to challenge myself with this project because most of the things that I do are not as difficult as I would think. I believe that it is getting easier for me to do this project because I am getting more used to keeping things organized and clean now that I have started this project. I feel as I am over halfway done with this project I am learning more about my own personal goals. I wanted to end this project being a more organized and knowing more about time management. I feel that I have already achieved this goal. This week I had to make sure that my room was clean because I had friends over all week and I do not like having a messy room when my friends are over. I also had to make sure I was caught up on laundry because I needed things to wear for school in the upcoming week. I am trying to find more things that I am able to do to challenge myself more. I have not been taking as many pictures for my blog posts so I am going to be uploading a few I took this week.

April 2, 20234/3/2023 This week is a very busy week! One is the week before spring break. Two its the week before my birthday! This week has been very exciting but very stressful at the same time. I have been going with my mom to gather everything I need to make my 16th birthday a great one! At the beginning of this week, I had been trying to get all of my laundry caught up because I will be needing most of my clothes for spring break. Near the end of the week I had been getting my room ready for my friends to stay the night. I normally keep my room pretty clean but this week was pretty difficult trying to keep up with my room and all of the other things I have been trying to get done.
I was gone basically all day on Saturday and Today (Sunday) so I had to make sure that my daily task was done before I left in the morning. Saturday I had it pretty easy I just needed to make sure everything was perfect for when my friends were to arrive at my house at 12 o’clock. Sunday wasn’t too bad because all I had to do was help my brother get ready for baseball which includes making sure he gets his uniform on and has all of his equipment. We had to pick up my cake from the cake store on Friday and I didn’t realize that until after I arrived at school so I had to finish my tasks pretty quickly before I headed to my brothers games later in the evening. I have worked on my time management skills alot and I believe that I have improved on making sure I spare enough time to make sure that all of my tasks are done.

March 26th, 20233/26/2023 This week was not very hard for me. I hung out with my friends some but I was still able to complete everything I had set for myself. I had a lot of homework this week so I had to learn how to use my time management skills to be able to complete all of my chores and my homework. I had a few tests this week that I also had to study for so that took up a lot of my time.
This week I cleaned my room and reorganized my closet from where I got rid of some of my clothes. It was not very difficult rearranging my closet because my closet was not extremely messy to begin with. I need to get rid of some of my shoes but it is hard trying to get rid of things because I may need them in the future. I am planning on revamping my closet and buying more clothes yet I still do not have the maximum amount of space that I really need. I really need to prioritize getting rid of things I do not wear anywhere. I have issues with parting with clothes because I feel that I will need them at some point in the future. Next week I have lots going on so I am going to be using my time management skills from this week and applying them to next weeks tasks. I am not going to have many difficult things to do next week because I have gotten alot accomplished in the past few weeks. This week will be a stress free week to get my a head start on spring break! It has gotten more difficult for me to find tasks to do each day because I do a good job keeping everything neat and tidy on a regular basis.

March 19th, 20233/19/2023 This week was very challenging for me. I had an extremely hard time managing my time. This week I hung out with my friends a lot and was not home for most of the week. I had a few easy tasks this week like doing laundry and cleaning up my room.
This week I started to get rid of and sell some of my clothes. It was hard for me to figure out what to get rid of because I get very attached to my clothes. It took me around 2 hours to figure out and gather up everything I was planning on getting rid of. Figuring out prices for everything was not too difficult, I mostly priced things pretty low because they were all used. I still have not sold everything so I am most likely going to be giving away everything else to my friends and family. It feels so nice to finally have enough room to hang up the majority of my clothes. I hung out with a lot of my friends this week and it was hard for me to be able to finish all of my tasks. I need to start planning my week ahead to make sure that I know I can complete everything that I have set for me. Next week should be a lot easier because I do not have much planned for after school. I was still able to finish everything this week but it was not to the efficiency that I would have wanted. Next week I am going to be re-organizing my closet to maximize the space that I made from where I cleared out a lot of the clothes that I had before. I still do not have the space that I need to fit everything in my closet but I will hopefully be finding more space when organizing next week!

March 12th, 20233/12/2023 This week I chose to challenge myself. I put alot of organizing tasks into my schedule. Organizing is something I love and isn’t very hard for me but it is very time-consuming. When organizing I have a specific step routine. I first take out everything in the space to start off with a clean area. If I have to I will wipe it down or vacuum it depending on what it is. Next, I will separate things into categories. If I was organizing the fridge I would put the condiments in one section and the meats in another. Lastly I would put each category in a different section of the area.
This week was not to difficult when it came to time management because I was able to get a lot done on Thursday due to early release and on Friday due to having no school. Saturday was a little difficult because I was out with my friends all day, but I still made sure to finish what I needed done when I got home! Next week I am going to start selling and giving away things in my closet. Since I organized my closet last week, it is easy to find out now what I need and do not need. It is very hard for me to give away or sell clothes because I seem to have an emotional attatchment to every item I own. I think to myself "I may want to wear that one day so why would I want to get rid of something so valuable". In all reality I get new clothes all the time and I start to forget what I even own. So if I can not remember what I have do I really need it as much as I think I do? Next week is going to be challenging but I am up for it!

March 5, 20233/5/2023 This week was not extremely difficult although I had trouble managing my time at the end of the week. Saturday morning I had a hair appointment and directly after that, I went to my brother's baseball tournament, lastly today I was at my brother’s baseball tournament all day as well.
I feel that as this project goes on I need to make sure that I make time to finish my task on the weekends whether that is before bed or early in the morning. I normally never have free time on the weekends due to hanging out with friends or having family things to do. Earlier in the week I was able to finish all of my tasks fairly quickly because I got home right after school. When completing stuff like cleaning my room I could go into depth with organizing or I could just pick up things and tidy up. I try to tidy up my room every other day because my room tends to get pretty messy if I just let it go. I tend to add the bonus tasks as things that I know need to be done but I typically like to push them off like laundry or washing dishes. When cleaning up my closet it was pretty difficult because I dont necessarily have enough room in my closet for all of the clothes that I have. Maybe at a later date, I will dedicate a few days to getting rid of or selling things in my closet to make more room for new things I would like to add. I am thinking that if I do want to sell some of my clothes I can incorporate my selling process and if I was capable of making the space that I wanted.
